Welcome!

This is the home page of Ken Dill and his research group. We recently moved to Stony Brook University to set up and develop the Laufer Center for Physical and Quantitative Biology (after many wonderful years at the University of California, San Francisco).  We are also in the Stony Brook Departments of Physics and Chemistry.

We aim to better understand the physical principles of biology.  We study the physics of proteins, biological cells, and water; and we develop methods in statistical physics and computational biology. We wrote a textbook in physical chemistry and statistical physics called Molecular Driving Forces.
