Welcome!

This is the home page of Ken Dill (CV, Autobiography, Sciencebio) and his research group. We are in the Laufer Center for Physical and Quantitative Biology at Stony Brook University. We are also affiliated with the Stony Brook Departments of Chemistry, and Physics & Astronomy.

We aim to better understand the physical principles of biology. We study the physics of proteins, biological cells, and water, and we develop methods in statistical physics and computational biology. We have written two textbooks : Molecular Driving Forces, which elucidates the principles of physical chemistry and statistical physics. Protein Actions, Principles and Modeling describes the physical chemistry and computational modeling of protein molecules.
